1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to UniMate ("the App"), an academic productivity application for university students, developed and published by WesleyConsults. By downloading, installing, or using UniMate, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the App.
2. Eligibility and Use
UniMate is designed specifically for students enrolled in tertiary institutions (such as KNUST, UG, UCC, UMaT, UEW, and other universities across Ghana). To use the App meaningfully, you must be currently enrolled at an accredited university. If you are under 18 years of age, you represent that you have obtained your parent or legal guardian's consent to use the App.
3. Scope of Service & Subscription Tiers
UniMate provides academic planning tools, timetable management, study session tracking, and AI-powered academic review aids.
- Free Tier: The App is free to download and offers robust offline academic tools, timetabling, and study session tracking at no cost.
- Premium Tier: WesleyConsults offers an optional, paid premium subscription tier that grants access to advanced AI study plan builders, parsed document imports, and deep analytical features. Pricing and subscription terms will be displayed inside the App prior to purchase.
4. User Data & Local Storage
UniMate values your data sovereignty. All primary academic records — including courses, grades, timetable configurations, and study history — are stored locally on your device in an encrypted on-device database. WesleyConsults does not store, back up, or have access to your locally saved academic data. You are solely responsible for securing your device and managing local app data. Uninstalling the App will result in the permanent deletion of all locally stored records.
5. Network Connectivity & AI Features
While the core database and tracking functions run fully offline without any cost, certain optional features (such as image-to-text timetable parsing, registration slip extraction, and AI-generated study plans) require active internet connectivity. When using these features, encrypted data payloads are transmitted to our secure server proxy (campusiq-api.vercel.app). You are solely responsible for any mobile network data tariffs or internet access fees incurred when using the App's online features.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Guarantee
UniMate is an educational productivity tool designed to help you organize and schedule your academic activities. **WesleyConsults makes no guarantees regarding your academic performance, CWA/GPA outcomes, exam results, or admission statuses.** The AI-generated study recommendations and weekly summaries are suggestions only, and should not replace university guidance counselor advice or mandatory syllabus coverage.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, the App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. WesleyConsults, its developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
8. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the App, including its code, user interfaces, branding, logos, and visual elements, are owned exclusively by WesleyConsults. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App on your personal Android device solely for non-commercial educational purposes.
9. Modifications to the App and Terms
WesleyConsults reserves the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the App (including feature availability, pricing structures, or service terms) at any time without prior notice. We may also revise these Terms of Service from time to time. When changes are made, the "Effective Date" at the top of the terms will be updated. Your continued use of the App following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service, your relationship with WesleyConsults, and any dispute arising from the use of UniMate shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the **Republic of Ghana**, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Takoradi or Accra, Ghana.
